FUTURISTIC CITY: GARDENS BY THE BAY

Once you catch a glimpse of this beautifully designed green space (perhaps from the top of Marina Bay Sands), you won’t be able to take your eyes off it. Stroll through Bay East Garden, the perfect place to enjoy vibrant plant life and escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a moment.

MARINA BAY SANDS

The shopping center spans a canal, the ArtScience museum and the Marina Bay Sands Skypark observatory, a vantage point from which you can enjoy panoramic views of the city. The Skypark’s observatory and infinity pool are in the ship (yes, the ship) that heads the hotel. Only hotel guests are allowed to use the infinity pool, but anyone can board the observatory.

BOTANIC GARDENS

Not to be confused with Gardens by the Bay, the Botanical Gardens are well worth a visit. Singapore received its first UNESCO World Heritage nomination for its botanical gardens, and for good reason. The city feels like a concrete jungle at times, and although clean and comfortable, the Botanical Gardens preserve elements of Singapore’s wild heritage.

SINGAPORE ZOO

Claiming to be the best rainforest zoo in the world, Singapore Zoo is quite an impressive one. The facilities are clean and friendly, and the animals seem well cared for, with plenty of lush vegetation and living space. The orangutans are especially impressive, and visitors can watch babies and adults swing on their platforms and chew on the fruit. There is also a large family of chimpanzees, zebras, carnivores, Komodo dragons, moles, white tigers, kangaroos and many other creatures.
