It’s just a 19-minute ride from the Mall of America, 9 minutes from the Airport, or 20 minutes from Downtown Minneapolis. The accessible location makes it a perfect day trip for locals and tourists alike.

The crown jewel of Minnesota, Minnehaha Falls is the 53-foot waterfall, which nearly freezes during the winter and transforms into a winter paradise, creating a magical scene reminiscent of a fairytale.

How Much Does it Cost?

As you embark on your self-guided adventure, entry to Minnehaha Falls is free, making it an accessible and budget-friendly escape. If you choose to drive, parking is available for $1.25.

After this cold venture, we needed a hot brunch! So as one of our friends was from El Salvador, we went to explore some El Salvadorian cuisine in Minneapolis downtown. It was delicious!
