Delhi Airport Terminal 3 gets the country’s biggest lounge facility

  • আপডেট সময় মঙ্গলবার, ১৫ আগস্ট, ২০২৩

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has launched Encalm Privé, a world-class business lounge today at Terminal 3. With this, the lounge users will no longer have a harrowing time at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3, where long queues are a usual thing.

Over the past few months, seat shortage had been a common issue due to the crippling shortage of lounges. Reports add that the new lounge currently spans out across 22,000 sq ft, and once it becomes fully operational, it will be spread across 30,000 sq ft, which will make it the country’s biggest lounge facility.

So, with this new addition, two separate lounge facilities will be available for passengers: Encalm Privé for business class exclusively and first-class travellers.

Referring to this, DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar added that DIAL is committed to enhancing passenger experience at Delhi Airport. With this new lounge, Delhi Airport has significantly enhanced its lounge capacity and the quality of services and facilities. He further added that this world-class lounge facility aims to provide a premium travel experience.

Once international travel resumed early last year, T3 was facing a lounge shortage. Now with the new lounge, things will hopefully improve at T3.

Facilities available

DIAL added that the new lounge in coming days will feature a spa and fitness centre, nap rooms, sleeping pods, a gaming zone, a cigar room, express laundry, shower facilities, and more. And regarding the facilities already available are lounge bays, multi-cuisine buffet, bar, live food counters, business centre, kids’ play area, library, and more.

Another record

Recently, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) also became the country’s first airport to have four operational runways, which is also the country’s largest airport, and handles more than 1500 aircraft movements every day. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently inaugurated the fourth runway.
