কমনওয়েলথভুক্ত দেশের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য যুক্তরাজ্যের প্রিন্স ফাউন্ডেশন বৃত্তির ঘোষণা দিয়েছে।

কমনওয়েলথভুক্ত ৫৬ টি দেশের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য যুক্তরাজ্যের The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts –এ ২০২৩ অর্থবছরে বৃত্তি প্রদান করবে।

সে হিসেবে বাংলাদেশের শিক্ষার্থীরাও এই বৃত্তির জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবেন।

KEY INFORMATION

ELIGIBILITY

The Hamish Ogston Foundation Commonwealth MA Scholarships are aimed at talented craftspeople and students from across the Commonwealth who would otherwise be unable to pursue further study of their craft or speciality skill. Consideration of financial need will be central to the selection of the recipients.

The MA scholarships are intended for those working and studying in the areas of traditional building and craft skills that are most relevant to, or most needed in, their own country to support its heritage.

Priority will be given to those seeking to advance their knowledge, career, and sector leadership in respect of the following fields:

Stonemasonry (including terracotta and carving in various stone types)
Carpentry and joinery (including carving, inlaying and parquetry)
Exterior and interior painting and decorating (including limewash, marbling, graining, traditional colours and finishes
Gilding (on gesso and paper) External and internal plastering (including stucco, lime renders and scagliola work)
Architectural ironwork Stained glass, including historic and decorative glass (e.g. painted, handblown and frosted glass)
Tiling, mosaics, and ceramics as related to the built environment
Skills relevant to your country/region’s needs, and within the scope of the Commonwealth Heritage Forum and The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts (contact us in advance to discuss)

While all are welcome to apply directly for admission to The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, we invite applications for the Hamish Ogston Foundation Commonwealth MA Scholarships from applicants who are citizens and/or residents of Commonwealth member states (excluding the United Kingdom).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Scholarship applicants will be subject to the standard admission requirements for the MA course as set by the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts.

FUNDING

The Commonwealth Heritage Forum will award two full MA scholarships that will last for the duration of the two-year MA course, starting in in September 2023 and finishing in July 2025. The scholarships will include: overseas course fees; a monthly stipend to cover living expenses; accommodation fees in student accommodation in London; return air travel from home country to the UK; and visa costs, including the healthcare surcharge.

APPLICATION

Applicants for the Hamish Ogston Foundation Commonwealth MA Scholarship will apply directly online to The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, which can be found online at: https://princes-foundation.org/school-of-traditional-arts/postgraduate-degrees/ma-in-traditional-arts.

There is normally a fee to apply to the MA in Traditional Arts, which will be waived for eligible applicants applying for the Hamish Ogston Foundation Commonwealth MA Scholarship. Before applying, please contact the Commonwealth Heritage Forum team to confirm your eligibility for the Scholarship—you will then receive a discount code to waive the fee when you submit your application.
